Education and training

Peter offers workshops and courses in:

• Community development workshops: from 2 hours to 5 days – participatory and dialogical traditions

• Peace-building and transformation for communities in conflict

• Community Economic Development (CED)

• Facilitating community education processes – spiral, elicitive and Freirean approaches

• Facilitation skills and approaches for groups and communities

• Phenomenological reflective practice for groups, communities and organisations, enabling people to ‘see’ and ‘surface’ their cultural practices

• Leadership practices.

Examples of these kinds of education and training include:

• 2-day masterclasses offered via Camelia Centre/Community Praxis Co-op in frameworks for community; method and analysis in community development

• 4-day authentic and effective leadership fellowship, in 2020

• A number of 1-day workshops on spiral and elicitive models of facilitation and community education

• Half-day workshop for NILS Tasmania on CED

• A number of 5-day workshops in Vanuatu on community-based peace work

• Several 2-day workshops in participatory and dialogical CD for Moreton Regional Council (2020, 2021) and many other local government clients
